Protection ex works - the 5-year manufacturer's warranty*
Since October 1, 2024, every new Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles vehicle has come with a five-year manufacturer's warranty, also known as the factory warranty. If, contrary to expectations, a defect occurs in your vehicle, the manufacturer's warranty covers the full cost of repairs. There is no excess on your part. Damage covered by the manufacturer's warranty includes defects in materials and workmanship that are not caused by wear and tear.
So that you can enjoy the unlimited protection of the manufacturer's warranty, you should observe the prescribed service intervals and have repairs carried out by a Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles service partner.
*The 5-year manufacturer's warranty applies to brand-new vehicles of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand with regard to all defects in materials and workmanship. The mileage is unlimited in the first two years. It ends after 5 years or after a maximum total mileage of 150,000 km in the third to fifth year, depending on which event occurs first. This warranty applies to all models of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand that have been ordered with binding effect from 01.10.2024. Excluded are all variants of the Transporter 6.1, Caravelle 6.1, Multivan 6.1 and California 6.1.
